Who am I?
My friends and family know me as the, "health fanatic", or, "guy who goes to bed way too early." Admittedly... these are accurate statements. But I like to think of myself as someone who has learned to make health a priority, and who seeks constant improvement in self and quality of life.
On a more general note, I also work full-time for a company in the Oil / Transportation industry. I enjoy strength-training, writing and playing music, good tea and coffee, and the occasional beer with friends. I also run a podcast called, "Health Nuts Anonymous", with my buddy and co-host Jef Fry.
How did I get involved with Health and Paleo?
2 Years ago, I burned myself down to the wire. I was working full-time as a personal trainer during the week, a second job on the weekends, and partying + eating a horrible diet at the same time. Eventually, my body could not tolerate these choices, and I came down with a horrible case of Mono (including several relapses) and severe Adrenal Fatigue. Through research and the inability to move (literally - I couldn't get off the couch for about 6 months), I came across the Paleo diet, and committed to improving my life.
I have recovered tremendously since, but am constantly looking to further my mind and body. At this point in time, I have no desire to switch paths, and am dedicated towards consistent self-care and self-growth in all areas of my life. And honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way!
I hope this sheds some background on the man behind the pages. Feel free to contact me with questions on anything found in this blog at:
