No worries! Simply put, the Paleo diet is a highly effective and enjoyable way of eating, modeled after the diet of our ancient ancestors. It consists of:
- Meats (preferably grass-fed)
- Vegetables
- Nuts / Seeds
- Fruits
- Healthy Dairy (raw, grass-fed)
- Healthy carbs (sweet potatoes, yams, squash, some rice, etc)
- Healthy fats (olive oil, coconut oil/butter, avocado)
- Processed sugars
- Bread/pasta/grains/wheat
- Beans / legumes (although this comes down to preference and tolerance)
- Processed dairy and meats
- Alcohol / soda
- Basically, anything that has been processed or tampered with, and is not something that would have been available to our hunter/gather ancestors.
